A proud native of Diboll, I graduated from DHS and married my high school sweetheart, John Ralph Pouland. My parents were Sherod and Anna Lee Powell who owned and operated Powell’s Grocery in the same building that is now Pouland Real Estate Agency at the intersection of Temple Dr. (US Highway 59) and Lumberjack Drive in Diboll. (If you Google for the location, some maps may still show Harris Street instead of Lumberjack Dr.) We have Pouland’s The Everything Store at the same location. John Ralph and I have two children, three grandchildren and two precious great-granddaughters. I am active in my community having served as a Board Member of the Diboll ISD, PTA and a Director of First Bank & Trust East Texas. I am a longtime member of Diboll First Baptist Church where I presently have been serving as Organist for several decades.
